its simple. make sure that the denominators are the same and then you add the top numbers only and leave the denominator the same.ex. 4+ 2=      8   6   6 can be turn into 8 by multiplying 2 4 6 8 then you also have to multiply the top by the same number

Find a common denominator and whatever you multiplied the denominator by, you multiply the numerator by, but if it has a common denominator, just add the numerator.
