an art/science is subordinate to its architectonic art/science when the former exists for the sake of the latter. for example, when saddlemaking exists for the sake of riding, it is subordinate to the art/science of riding, the architectonic art/science. riding, however, exists for the sake of war strategy. so riding is subordinate to strategy, which is architectonic to it. all arts and sciences seem to have this subordinate/architectonic relationship. what is the highest architectonic art/science of all, something done only for its own sake and for no other, an end in itself?
