What do sound waves, light waves, and ocean waves all have in common?

So the question is what do sound, light and ocean waves all have in common. So, both mechanical waves - sound and ocean waves and electromagnetic waves - light, have the same mathematical description which consists of amplitude, wavelenght and frequency.
