In the book Number The Stars what country is still free of the Nazi Occupation

In the book Number The Stars, Sweden is the only country that isn't occupied by the Nazis. I know this because the reason why Annmarie and her family wanted to go to Sweden was because Ellen ( a jew ) needed to be taken there because at the time the Nazis were occupying Denmark.Hope this helped- Ashlyn

i read this book so i know the answer. sweden is still free of the nazi occupation. i know this because in the book it states that sweden is free and all the jewish people are trying to get there by boats.hope it helps
