Alfred Wegener was the first person to propose the idea of moving
continents as a scientific hypothesis. It was during 1912 of January 6 that he
suggested to the German Geological Society of such educated guess. In which,
Alfred Wegener believed that the earth’s now divided and dispersed continents
were once a single supercontinent namely, the “Pangea” as he labelled it. Even
though Wegener’s concept was more built and autonomous, he also strengthened
his theory by gathering numerous number of authors with the same concept as he
had.
